Sizing a Spread Footing- Activity 3.2.9

In this activity, we used soil information to size footings.
This activity was a lot easier than the activity before it!

Title of post: Beam Design - Activity 3.2.6

In this activity we designed floor framing for a hotel.

It took a LONG time!

Roof Activity 3.1.4

In this project we made a green roof for our library. Step Tuff is a good brand for roofing finishes that you can walk on.

Our library is now green! It looks sweet!

Wall Activity 3.1.3

In this project we made a curtain wall out of glass for our library.
This was a fairly easy project. It took no time.

Beam Analysis - Activity 3.2.3

In this project, we analyzed beams. I took quite a long time, since there were a lot of calculations.

It took a long time to do this project, but I think I learned a lot about beams.

Keystone Library - Project 3.1.1

In this project, we renovated a warehouse into a library.

This project was quite fun. It took a long time but I think it looks very good.

Beam Analysis Shortcuts- Activity 3.2.4

Structural Efficiency

For this project a the whole class had to find a group of three and build a card structure of of 12 playing cards and tape. It had to hold as much weight as possible.

Our group won! Joe, Rohks, and built structure that held over 55 pounds and only weighed .1 pounds!

55 lbs / .1 lbs = 513

Our structure worked perfectly the first time by building it like a column. We had to do no revisions.

Keystone Library - Commercial Floor

In this project, we added the second floor on our keystone library.

In this project i learned how to make a second floor in Revit. Next time I would give my floor some detail, to make it more than just a concrete slab.
